Note: Currently only accepting new patients for PrEP and HIV care.
NEW PATIENTS: We have reached our threshold for new primary care patients. At this time, we are only accepting new patients for our HIV specialty services, including maintenance and HIV prevention (PrEP).
We will work together to manage various conditions, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, anxiety and depression.
We are currently offering PrEP and HIV services to our community. This includes oral medication as well as injectables (Cabenuva for HIV and Apretude for PrEP).
Covid-19 Vaccines
Covid-19 PCR Testing
Covid-19 Rapid Antigen
We are an independently owned, low-volume, single-provider medical practice where each patient receives personalized care.
By keeping our patient count low, we are able to offer more personal and thorough care. Office visits are typically longer. And because the practice is independently owned, we are able to mold the practice to better serve our patients and the community.
To provide compassionate and comprehensive care for adult patients regardless of ethnicity, race, color, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.
We offer culturally-affirming care designed to bring meaningful and lasting improvement to the lives of anyone in our community.
PrEP may be a good option if you want an effective way to prevent HIV transmission and add more peace of mind to your life.
Nos alegramos en ofrecer servicios de salud y atención medica en Español.

We continue to offer PCR (turnaround time is 1-2 days) and rapid antigen testing (15-30 minutes). Please click below for more information about cost.
Miguel is awesome. Toss the large hospitals aside (providence, ohsu) as your primary. Use Miguel as your health advisor. He’s great, knowledgeable and helps you navigate the confusing healthcare world to get the care you need.

I’m so grateful to have a primary care doctor who provides culturally and linguistically informed care. Miguel is kind, supportive, thorough, and takes time to get to know me as a person and community member, not just a patient. Going to the doctor feels like visiting with an old friend who’s trained to help keep me healthy. He’s changed the way I see health care, and I’m so grateful for it.
— Eddie
Miguel is an amazing provider. He approaches my care with kindness, curiosity, and always has my best interest top of mind. He is high responsive and quick to activate on prescription refills or is available when needed. I have been seeing him for 6 years and couldn’t imagine a better provider.
— Doug
I’ve been seeing Miguel for close to five years now. Going to see him isn’t like going to see a doctor. Instead, it’s like catching up with a friend. Miguel has a warm and inviting demeanor that makes you feel comfortable while talking about your body and asking intimate questions.
— Ryan
I've only visited Carreon Health twice and they make me feel like a long-time client. The staff is friendly, communicative, and very efficient. I also appreciate that they start their appointments right on time without a wait. I plan to make Carreon Health my go-to Portland clinic.
— Chantel
This is by far the best primary care experience I've ever had. Dr. Miguel takes the time to make you feel like he truly cares about you. I wish everyone had a doctor like him.
— Benji
Miguel is that rare provider who treats you as a participant in your own healthcare. He’s understanding and knowledgeable in the combination of risk and protective factors associated with unique communities. It’s healing to have a provider who is supportive and interested in promoting happiness and knowledge—and to do so with humor, friendliness, and compassion. Our community calls this good medicine.
— Ezra
Couldn't be happier with my experience, they were incredibly welcoming and I was treated as a friend and it made my visit very comfortable. Highly recommended!
